He may have been born Gary Lee Brotherton on December 24, 1944, but many who knew him well called him “Big Daddy.” It’s fitting, because Gary had a big presence and a big heart. 

He was the perfect balance of silly, funny, caring, generous and wise. He loved spending time with his family, traveling to the ocean, reading a good mystery novel, and watching Scandinavian detective shows. He leaves a legacy of perseverance, humor, faith, and love.
